One of my New Year resolutions was to help my aging first born stay in better shape. The weather has been horrible for many weeks so we've not been able to hit the pavement until recently.
We're starting slow and we'll move it up over time. This week we ran three times together for a total of six miles. I run two miles with her, drop her off then finish my planned distance. She's doing well, but gets tired at about 1 3/4 miles. I'm going to keep her under two for a few weeks then bump her up 1/2 a mile a week till she's good to hang with me for a 10k. If you want to start running with your best friend make sure you research the breeds suitability and take advice many of the websites offer.
